NASA's Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC), in collaboration with the Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Top-of-Atmosphere (TOA) team released the Earth Radiation Budget Experiment (ERBE) ERBE_S10N_WFOV_SF_ERBS_AreaAverageTimeSeries_Edition4 product.
The MEaSUREs Greenland Monthly Image Mosaics from MODIS, Version 1
dataset is now available at NASA's National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This dataset, part of the MEaSUREs Program, provides monthly image mosaics of the Greenland coastline and ice sheet periphery. The image mosaics are constructed from composited The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS
) imagery, acquired each month between March 2008 to September 2016.
- data reprocessed with a small radiometric correction to improve consistency across seam boundaries
- temporal coverage was expanded through 31 May 2017
- dates were added to the .gif files

NASA's IceBridge Sander AIRGrav L1B Geolocated Free Air Gravity Anomalies
data for 2016 Antarctica are now available from NSIDC DAAC. Additionally, on July 26, 2017, the entire IceBridge IGGRV1B dataset was replaced with re-leveled data to ensure consistency within the entire dataset. This dataset contains Greenland and Antarctica gravity measurements taken from the Sander Geophysics AIRGrav
airborne gravity system.
NASA's Oak Ridge National Laboratory DAAC (ORNL DAAC) published the dataset Fire Intensity and Burn Severity Metrics for Circumpolar Boreal Forests, 2001-2013
. This dataset provides products characterizing immediate and longer-term ecosystem changes from fires in the circumpolar boreal forests of Northern Eurasia and North America. The data cover the period 2001-2013 and are provided at quarter, half, and one degree resolutions for boreal forests within the 40 to 80 degree North circumpolar region. The data were derived from a variety of sources including MODIS products, climate reanalysis data, and forest inventories.
