Note:

  1. The volume distributed to end users per day, as a running average over the last 4 weeks, is 3.861 times the volume added to the archive per day.

LANCE Data Latency

Image

Note:

  1. Higher product latencies for

    1. MODIS-AQUA from 10 Aug 2022 to 12 Aug 2022, due to waiting for missing Level 0 (L0) packets.

    2. VIIRS-JPSS-1 (Land) on 11 Aug 2022; contact has been made with no clarification returned.

    3. VIIRS-Suomi NPP (Land) from 7 Aug 2022 to 9 Aug 2022 and 11 Aug 2022, due to being in safe mode since 28 Jul 2022.

    4. OMPS-Suomi NPP from 7 Aug 2022 to 11 Aug 2022, due to being in safe mode since 28 Jul 2022.

    5. MLS-AURA on 8 Aug 2022, due to system issues with MLS SIPS.

  2. EMS has no LIS-ISS data since 14 Apr 2022; EMS is continuing to resolve data collection from the Cloud.

Note:

  1. Latency for a data granule is defined as the time taken from the midpoint between the start and end of acquisition of the data for that granule to the granule’s being ready on-line for users to download.
  2. Duration covered by the data for a granule is defined differently for different instruments (e.g., MODIS granules are 5 minutes long while OMI NRT granules are 13 to 136 minutes long).
  3. Over the last four weeks, over 95% of NRT data requests for all instruments except for two instruments (MODIS-AQUA, OMPS-Suomi NPP, and VIIRS-Suomi NPP (Land)) were satisfied within 3 hours. For MODIS-AQUA, OMPS-Suomi NPP, and VIIRS-Suomi NPP (Land) over 92%, 65%, and 81% of the NRT data requests were satisfied within 3 hours, respectively.
