The purpose of this Webinar is to provide guidance on fundamental data management practices that NASA's Arctic-Boreal Vulnerability Experiment (ABoVE) investigators should perform during the course of data collection to improve the usability of their data sets. The topics covered will include how to structure your data files, define variables and units, perform quality control, and develop data documentation so that others can find, understand, and use your data. We will also provide an introduction to Data Management practices to support collaborative research. We will also provide information on submitting the data to NASA's Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) Distributed Active Archive Center (DAAC). By following the practices taught in this workshop, your data will be less prone to error, more efficiently structured for your own analysis, and more readily understandable for any future questions that they might help address.
